Didcot Cricket Club will have
three Saturday sides who play in the Cherwell League, and a Sunday
side. The Sunday side play friendly games on most weekends of the
summer, and play against the local villages. This enables up and coming
Youth players to get a good insight into Senior cricket.
The First XI play in division 5 of
the Cherwell League, the Second XI play in division 8A, and the newly
formed 3rd XI play in division 9A.
The role of each team has been
identified and are as follows:
1st XI - The role of the
1st XI is to aspire to win as many matches as possible with a balanced
side, and offer cricket at the highest and most competitive level
possible.

2nd XI - The role of the
2nd XI is to provide a fairly high standard of cricket which will enable
the most promising juniors and good senior players to force their way
into the 1st XI.
